  My wife and I received a gift certificate from our daughter at Wise Villa Winery and we were so excited to go. We got dressed up, detailed the car and headed out for what we thought was going to be an awesome Saturday experience. Everything was going fine until we walked in. A young lady asked if we wanted to eat or taste wine and we said both, she looked perplexed at us. I looked at my wife and said why don't we wine taste, then move to a table for food. So off to the wine bar we went. I sat and sat looking at the 10 staffers waiting on everyone else but us. My wife was able to go to the bathroom and return and we still sat and waited until the young lady that greeted us came over and asked if we had been helped yet, we responded no and she said she would get someone. Again we waited....25 min in total to be greeted by one of the ten people walking around. At one point my wife said we must be invisible. Finally we were helped by someone who obviously was busy and the service reflected that. I think we left the tasting counter after about an hour. I know. I did not mention trying to move to another wine bar next the this one because they kept making us move so they could assist other tasters and we were told no, then 5 min later there are people sitting there. We tried to order food but they said the kitchen was closing. We snuck in a couple of appetizers (olives and wine and cheese plate). Then they start serving food again and seating people again where they said we could not sit. At that point it was the last straw. I stupidly paid cash (66 dollars = 8 dollar tip (why, I don't know)) and decided we would pretend this day did not happen and use the gift certificate another day. Now I am wondering if I should offer it on craigslist for a discounted rate. Very sad service and experience !!!! Oh and our daughter is going to call and blow hair back so be ready. Goat Brewery became our friend offering great service and a warm welcome on the way home, give them a try instead.

  Wonderful day here. My neighbor had won a wine tasting for four. We got an education on wine making from the vintner, while enjoying the beautiful views. There is an attractive patio and dining room . The wines are outstanding, a little out of my range in the $30+ range, but was able to pick up some at 50% off, and was very pleased! We shared three appetizers, which were fancy and tasty and just right to go with our wine. That worked out at $14 each, which included a tip! If you’re looking for a deal, just go to your local liquor store. For a wonderful wine tasting experience without the long drive, enjoy our local Wise Villa winery!
